Northern India Outreach
We are currently raising funds towards Discipleship Training School 2016 that is happening right now. On May 2nd, twenty five students from around Northern India started the 5 months program in order to be equipped for a life of Christian ministry.
The first 3 months is spent in the classroom learning about Biblical discipleship, Christian ministry, evangelism & church planting, and Christian character.
The last 2 months are spent doing ministry internships with local churches where the focus is evangelism and church growth.
Under the direction of Rev. John Sankara Rao and his wife Mary, these students will be trained and sent out to be ambassadors for Christ in one of the most unreached areas of the world.
This is our 2nd DTS in Northern India. The first one in 2015, sixteen students attended. Currently all of them of now serving the Lord in various ways, and nine out of the sixteen committed themselves to go into full time vocational ministry in North India.
The cost for the DTS is $150 per month per students ($750 for the 5 month program). This includes all travel, lodging, education, food, and ministry costs. Each student contributes what they can towards the cost, but none of them are able to meet the full expense.
We are looking for people who want to support these students in their equipping for ministry in Northern India. You can do this by covering the full tuition for $750, sharing half the cost with another donor for $375, or giving what you can towards the program.
